Week Seven Recovery Update

I'm doing very well. Still have some chest pain and arm pain but all in all, doing very well. My leg is about healed. There is still some scabing there but most of it is gone and most of the red soreness is also gone. I can walk with very little discomfort. We did go walking the other day and my calfs really hurt. as well as my hips. All this is lack of exercise. We went today and we did very well. Next to no leg or hip pain. We did walk the whole loop. That must be 1000 feet around. And its not level. I was very happy. Now to do it again and then do it a second round.

My left arm is healing from the elbow to the wrist. The wrist is less painfull but getting better. I have complete movement in the wrist and fingers. I just dont have complete rotation of the wrist yet. And there is still some strength in the hand that is improving. In a month, this should be nearly normal.

The right arm is about the same. Ther is a slight improvement in the finger feeling and more nerve stabbing pain in the first joint of the ring finger. All this should be a sign of improvement.

We were to see the Cardioligists today, fridy, but the appointment did not get confirmed. We checked the computer system and we were not in the system yet. When we do get the appointment, we will get a confirmation call from the computer system and a written letter of the appointment via snail mail. Once this happens, maybe we will be released to go. Yes GO! I'm ready to go!

Should we be asked to leave here, we will go to Lake Whitney and stay. That puts us about an hour and a half from Dallas. We will stay there till we can return to Lake Benbrook. We can start our travels after March 1. Before we go, we will visit our kids and grandkids. it will be a while before we are back here, like October.
