Saturday

Tomorrow is moving day, maybe. It all depends on the weather. The four major stations here have spilt on the sunday event. The fox and cbs stations have forecast the rain to be sunday evening into monday. The abc and nbc stations have forecast the rain to begin late tonight and be heavy tomorrow into tomorrow night.

We are planning on moving the RV tomorrow morning to take advantage of the lighter Dallas freeway and local traffic. We will be going thru south and east Dallas on I20 and I30 to Rockwall then north to Lavon Lake. BUT, if the rain is in the am and as heavy as some say, we will stay put and cancel the move till monday.

We will be taking down the DTV dish and the Direcway dish tonight and have the RV ready to lift jacks, unhook the water and elec and go. The suv will be driven vs towed. Nobody will know till tomorrow as to what we actually did.

Thursday and it Cool

The first winter front of this fall has arrived and its cooled down. The high for the day is 69 with the low so far at 57. Get out the flannel pj's as it will be a cool night in the rv.

I have sent email to a couple of the family name in California. There is a group of cousins living somewhere out there and I'm trying to get in touch with the family name to find out if they belong to my side of the family. I have set up a blogg from myself back. if you are in this line, please let me know via email. I will be looking at more of the family that has moved to different parts of the country and will be contacting them too.

All is looking good for our move Sunday, except the weather forecast. We will keep a check to see if the morning move is right. I do hate driving in the rain but I hate most is driving in Dallas anytime. The traffic is just crazy with speeders and lane changers. No wonder there is "road rage" on the highways today.

Tomorrow, DW will be with the Birthday Girl, her 75th too, and with her sister they will be doing what girls do. Ya'll have fun and don't break the bank.

Wednesday

Yesterday was a rain day so we stayed in. DW got the clothes washed. The washer can not run with the microwave and the a/c. To prevent overloading the 30 amp circuit, we have a three way switch. Works the power sharing for the micro and washer. Its either on or off. You know, "Deal or No Deal". On cooler days with no a/c needed, the washer is a running. On cool mornings, the washer is a running. On warmer and hot days, we manage with warm mornings till a load is done. Its all in the amp count.

Today is a bright, sunny morning with a 56* temp. Makes for nice sleeping. The forecast high is 82 with light winds. Tomorrow we will have changes. Fall is in the air for sure. The high is 65 with a night of 42. BRRRRRRR! Getting close to going south for balmy weather.

Tomorrow is DW's mom's birthday. She will be 75 and the two daughters are going to spend the day with her doing what girls do, shopping. Have a happy birthday from your son-in-law.

Monday

We are still at the Bear Creek campground. DW's mom went to the Dr and the report is lets treat this as an allergy problem. If this works, yea! We are waiting on our tags, a part for the rack, mail and some meds for Shirley. We will order our mail for delivery here before we move. And this friday is here 75th birthday and DW will be there.

Our plans are to go on sunday and see my son at his church where he plays in there orchestra. He plays the trombone and has since high school. They are having a concert at 7 pm and we will try to be there. Once we get parked, hopefully at a useable FUH, we will spend some time with the grandkids.

Our plans are to stay a week and then go south to Canyon lake for sightseeing, Keerville area for the same. There is so much to see in the hill country that we may be there awhile. DW spent 15 years in San Antonio and is familiar with the area. She has not been back since 1987 though. More as the time goes by as to what we will do and where we will go. Stay around and lets see what happens.

Sunday

We made it over yesterday and went to Lake Lavon to see the rv campground. We had 48.5 miles on the trip odometer when we left and we have 217.4 total miles traveled. Seems like I just filled the suv up friday. Anyway, we went about 17 miles looking for the road to the campground. Was a long trip from our location. His in-laws live at central-west arlington and her in-laws live in south east arlington. Both of them were home 30 minitues before us.

But, we had a good time at the party and got to tour the new house. A whopping 3750 sf of living area on two floors with 3 car garage. Very nice house. Both of them are very proud of their new abode. Now they need to buy more furniture.

The COE we went to see was closed with construction. The directions in the "Camping with the COE" are not correct. I will post the correction on the yahoo group and escapees forun. The gate was closed and locked. We went looking for what else was there and found the day use areas. The only other campground, Lavonia Park, open was the one on the east side close to Lavon, TX. It was still open till the other is finished with the construction. The hosts didn't know if it would be closed or not. I will post on the same group info on the campground. The park has 11 FUH.

We stopped by the dealer to get the bra for the suv, exchange a part for the rack on top and tags. One out of three is not bad. The bra was there, the part to exchange was not there (will have to order a complete kit to get the part I need) and the tags were not there. See, not bad!

Today I put on the bra. Its worth the money to have it done. The instructions are not to specific as to where to mount the clips. But, it can be figured out by putting the bra on and seeing what goes where. Took me about an hour with help from DW. The bar will "hopefully" keep the front free from rock dings. For those dings that we do get, there is touchup paint on board.

Saturday and The Birthday Party

The picture finally loaded after I re-installed Netscape.

Here is the kids all gathered together for cake. They all have juice. They were very good, played hard and when it was time to sit at the table, they were good. The big kids were all around and gave the little kids lots of support.

A pic of the cake. Thats a race car in blue, it made a real mess on a couple of the kids.

Enjoy the pics of the kids, both the lieelt and ig ones. There were a total of twelve with the birthday boy, his brother and sister. And nine of his friends from school and the neighborhood,
