Its a cool, calm day

The winds are finally over, the front has gone thru. We had three LONG days of 20-30 with gusts to 35 yesterday. We are on the tail of the storm dumping snow on Denver. Its finally moving east. We have loudy skies, 55 for the low, 56 now 68 for the high and 20% chance of rain with 5-10 winds.

These trees are close by and the wind effect is very much shown

I did go to the driving range this morning about 10 and it was cool. There were people in shorts and tees to wind suits and coats today. The shorts people were cold from their body language. Too cool yet to play, maybe later on today. It was also not crowded.

Look at the sand in the air. This is on US83 west near Mission. We went looking at the golf courses and on our way took this pic.

Its a Windy, make that GUSTY Day

We have winds not normal to this area. today thru tonight sometime the wind will be a gale. So far we have had sustained winds in the 25-30 range, forecast 25-35, and the strongest gust so far is at 46. The temp overnight was 57, high so far was 72 with 71 now and forecast to be 78. Our dish is by the side of the rv and rear of the living room slide and still standing and working. This location provides some protection with a tree in front. We are also under the wifi tower.

We went looking at golf courses and saw all from ours toward Mission. The prices are for weekday 18 holes and half a cart.

$49.80 Tierra Santa
$39.95 Palm View
$29.00 Shary Municipal
$26.60 Martin Valley, 27 hole course.
$34.00 Llano Grande

I pay $12.00 for 18 holes + $7.00 trail fee as a renter at LLano Grande.

The yearly membership at Llano Grande is MUCH less than the Palm and Shary rates.
We will come back here next year. Compared to the other parks, I can get a rental cart and be even with a golf membership.

Its going to be a Nice Day today

The forecast is for 72 with light winds. Tomorrow is a gale with 25-35 and gusty. And tomorrow is my birthday. I will be one year "OLDer" and closer to that magial "Medicare". We are not sure what to cover with the VA and medicare. Full coverage with no monthly suppliments and no Rx payments is nice with the VA.

We have a new address here. We can accept snail mail to 683 Donna Ave, Mercedes, 78570. An envelope or box is in the mail today to our home address for use to send us our mail that is there. It will have pre-paid postage upto 1 lb. We will be at this address till 3/1/07. On that date we will be moving.

Tuesday after Christmas

We had a good Christmas, kinda. The weather finally got better in the afternoon. It blew from the day before and was still cool. The morning low was 36. The afternoon high got to 63. Was a nice day for golf.

Shirley got me a very nice card. I got her a card also. If we had gotten more, then something had to be removed from the rv. We have a space problem and a weight problem. Not enough of either. We are under our weights and about out of space. We did the "haven't used it in a year" thing and out it went last summer in Benbrook. What we do have to much of is clothes yet. What we need is more space for hang ups.

Our next project is to pull out the dinnette and put in two chairs. We will keep the table till we find what will fit. We need a dumpster to put the dinnette in. They use their own garbage truck here so no dumpster. Shirley said today, "its nice to have propane delivered to your door". Its also nice to have garbage pickup twice a week at the curb.
