On a Friday at the Auto Repair

These two came down from the hill behind us Thursday evening. We didn't notice them till the cat started growling. As they came closer, the louder his growl. I went back to look and got DW's attention to come look. She ran back to look and forget about her movie.

She went and got the camera and got what pics she could. All the time the cat growled and the deer looked at the cat.

Soon they got shy and begain to go back toward the hill behind us. Getting pics got more difficult. Tom cat continued to growl and we kept looking.

The amount of light shown and actual is quit different. It is really nearly dark. Some of these shots are with the camera setting in the "night" mode. We tried a flash but that didnt work as all you could see were shinny eyes.

The last pic we got before they bolted for the hill and disappeared. Atleast we got something.

I went in town and had a car problem. I need a new alternater. And I need a price for one from a chevy dealer. We have a 4 cylinder, automatic with pb, pl. no pw. I need a check price to see what I should be paying. Anyone wishing to get this and post as a comment would be appreciated. There is no dealer here and Darango is the closest one. Thats a 60 plus mile trip with a dying battery. Our alt is putting out about 12.4 volts. And a price for a new side post battery from Carquest. I had to get one to get home and it was way too much. Will see if there is a store here and get his price.

We are looking at dish tv. Cost vs package is lousy. We will decide after we get the car taken care of. Till then, we are grounded and what ever we get to post will be from the park. If there is no updates, you know why. Remember, we have no cell service so don't call. And it's chicken enchiladas tonight.

A Rainy Wednesday

We have had showers today. Some of the best showers since we have been here. On some days it was hardly a good sprinkle but today it was a good shower. We have more coming from the NW. The rest of the week we have rain forecast. All I can say is it is good sleeping weather. The temp dropped to 50 during the rain and has risen to 58 now at 3:20 pm. And it was in the low 40's overnight.

Therefore, they update for today is the headline. When we can we will get out. We have a neighbor in the other park, UT retiree, that is here for the summer and asked to get on our signal. Our park has wifi but his park does not. I was a nice guy once. For the others, your in the wrong park. If there is more news, I'll add it here.

We reached a high of 79, Alamosa per weatherbug, and the city site has 57 now. Our temp here is at 65. Thats cool and nice. Beats the 95 back in Fort Worth.

Tuesday in Our New Space

DW has a sore back from picking up the BBQ out of the seat and turning. This was yesterday and she is moving some today. We are in a holding pattern till her back gets better. There are some really pretty flowers here that I could get pics of. I dont have anything else left. If tomorrow you see lots of flower pics, hmmmmm

Love all the grass. So far no skitters, a few flies and thats about it. We are having super weather.
Nap time BBL. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The mid day nap is over and I am up. DW is washing a load of clothes. She loves a full hookup. And this is about $11.00 a day, close to COE rates.

We will take some day trip and see a movie and other things to do. We have to plan our day around the afternoon showers and falling temps. Its 68 right now with cloudy skies at 4 pm. When I got up this morning, it was 40 at 6:30 am. We will be spoiled when we have to leave. Its 766 miles to Weatherford and 775 to Fort Worth, TX. But most of all its summertime in Texas.

Monday and a New Day

This morning at 7 am it is 45 deg. We all slept good. Tom Cat curled upon his blanket and went to sleep too.

Last of the park pics. this is in front of the rv. We went to town yesterday and washed the car. It was dirty from the arch hunt.

And the river in front of us. The bridge we cross is there too. More later as we go to town.

Shirley doesn't feel up to par and we had to relocate in the park. The owners were gone when we got here so we knew we might have to move. Yep, our space is taken come the 1st. So we relocated down by the other park building. There will be pics. We have a neighbor but not right next to us. And no neighbor on the other side but we can have a neighbor to our rear. IE, we have a nice table area on the left side with the mountain as our neighbor.

Good Sunday Morning Everybody

This is downtown Pagosa Springs. Across from here, left, is the hot springs and river. We came into town this am for sunday brunch. We visited the welcome center and got some literature of the area. If you look down the street where the marque is, that is a movie theatre. Somebody moved the theatre more to my right! We get to go to the movies. One of the things we miss as we travel the back roads and stay at COE parks or free parking.

It's that woman that is following me around.

I said we had a river here. its kinda shallow but it is a river.

A close up of Chimny Peak from US160.

Our side yard with the office in the background.

The hill behind us is real steep. Its not very high but steep. Shirley saw a deer there yesterday.

There is a new panarama of the area with the nice weather we have. It was a cold 40 at 6:30 am but a balmy 60 by 9:30. Now its 3:15 pm and a rainy afternoon of 65. It did get to 80 by the time we got home from brunch ans a little tour of town. We will go out again tomorrow and sightsee. The movie on is RV with Robin Williams at 6 pm. We will try to get in monday.

And as usual we have no cell service or tv. We are in a valley and not served by a tower or tv signal. Send us an email. And Dw said it was 58 now, at 3:20 pm. We have been sleeping GOOD.
