Friday and its WINDY

We have close isobars and that means a front is passing thru with wind. The rain went by earlier and was followed by a dry line ahead of the front. The wind is rather strong, sustained winds up to 32. Thats not gusts, but sustained, gusts were to 42 in Hillsboro which is south of us. We are in the trees and dont feel these high winds. Both of our dishes are fine and not in any danger of being blown over.

In Pagosa Springs, CO its going to be 42 for the high. In Lovington, NM its going to be 67 for the high. Here in Fort Worth, TX its going to be 68. Since we are going south, in Salado, TX its going to be 71. In Mission, TX its going to be 78. That is the direction we are headed, warmer. We will leave soon.

Today is wash the sheets day and probably what ever else is there. With the wind, its a stay in day too. We do have one errand to do and that is all. Once thats done, we can stay home.

You can tell we have alot to do and say. Right, its all about the weather. We will get a life soon.

1:30 pm
Well its now afternoon and the wind is still blowing. We have 24 mph winds with gusts to 41 at Naval Air Station, JRB airport which is the old Carswell AFB. We did go to Wal-Mart for some things, esp. ice cream. We have two new neighbors today.

Tuesday and The Mowers Have Been Here

Do you remember when we were here last time how tall the grass and weeds were? Well, not any more. The mowers have been here. There were two tractors with w----i----d----e brush hogs, two zero turn mowers and two guys with string trimmers. In a day the whole campground was done. its not to pretty buts its cut.

Our weather report for tomorrow is rain. Today its getting cloudy. We hope it rains plenty as this area is in dire need of rain.

EDIT: the rain came, and it rained but not here. We got maybe a 1/2". To the south it rained 2"-4" but not in this watershed. Another day.

Monday and a New Campground

We are back at Bear Creek till DW's mom is much better. She has been thru the cath lab and now its time to see another doctor. Hopefully the next Dr can find out the problem is and then the solution.

Our plans are still to go south at the right time. That is yet to be determined. We will try to post where we are as we go and see what there is to see and places to stay. Not much else to add now but we will as time goes by. Each day is different from the day before.

Sunday

Space 16 at Holiday Park on Benbrook Lake. A real tough backin for a 5th or travel trailer. This space is on the end of the curve and there is little room to move the truck when backing. Fairly easy for our 36 footer. DW was not here and I was able to get it in without hitting anything.

As you can see its a long space and it has the side parking for the car too. The DW dish is in front and the DTV dish is in back. There is a hole in the trees to get through with the DTV.

The table is close and there is pavement walking all around. I'm close to the edge on the drivers side but there is room to walk is I had moved to the right some.

With this space, the table is very visible and is a gathering spot for many neighbors. This is also a favorite spot for the KY couple whom spend the winter here visiting family.

We are planning and moving to Bear Creek, space 2 on monday and get the FUH. We can stay there till DW's mom is well

More on this tomorrow if we do or dont move.
