The Park in Lovington, NM Walking Trail, Part 1

There are lots of ducks here. We found these as we did our walk this afternoon. Across the water is the local fishermen with hooks waiting. I found out that the city stocks the pond with rainbow trout in the winter and channel catfish in the summer. Kids of all ages come here to try their luck.
As we walked on the track, there are some exercise stations. Here we have one of them. This is the parallel bars of two heights for the smaller kids and the taller kids.
This pond with fountain is the first thing you see from the entrance. I took this picture from the far side to get the flags.
This is the track and the exercise station on the walk. The track is very nice and was expensive to install but will be here for many years. The asphalt had been "painted" its usuall black color. There are more pictures of the track and the park to follow over the weekend. As I have stated, its a very nice park and covers 5-6 acres. A swimming pool is in the planning stages and work will start this year.
