On a Tuesday We can See ALL the Stars

We traveled a long way to get here. Atleast it seems so. We went from 6863 to Chama at 7863 and then on to Chama Pass in Colorado at 10,022 to our location at the train station near the pass. Our gps says its 6515 elevation where we are. Its simply beautiful.

This is our front yard today with grass and tall trees. We are backed in to this spot so we can make a quick getaway if needed. This is the last spot available for an rv.

Our neighborhood is to our liking. We don' t have any close neighbors. We have found what George is always looking for. Free camping, George would be proud. We can stay here till we run out of water or the tanks are full. whichever comes first. There are several commerical campgrounds in Chama, but, we don't like an rv 15 feet away. When you can hear your neighbors ZZZZZ, that's to close.

Shirley caught this on the way up. It's the narrow gage train from Chama, NM to Antonito, CO. There is another train leaving Antonito going to Chama. They stop in CO for lunch. This is the turn around for those only going half way. Lunch is part of the ticket price.

A wider shot of the whole train.

And some of the passangers in the rail car. Since there are different ticket prices, these may be the "cheap" sets. There is lots more on the trains as we were able to park up the road from the train to Chama. It came by about 2:30 pm and stopped. As it left, we got some excellent pics of it, closeup. And a panarama was made and is in our photo links. There is lots more but that will be over the next several days. We will go to Chama in the car and see the sights. Showers will be earlier than usual. DW is already in sweater and has a wrap in the chair. Baby is cold.
