Saturday and a NEW SUV

We got up this morning and left to go car shopping in Hurst. On the way the phone rings and our salseman, Chris Ross, from the Saturn of Arlington said they came down to my price. We got our Vue for $2250 off MSRP. We bought a red with grey interior and most of the whistles and bells. This is my first new car since the 66 Mustang. I bought mostly 2-3 year old used and saved a bundle, never got a lemon, and kept them for 10 years. DW bought her the 94 Cavalier. So its been a long time for both of us. As we said on the 94, sure hope its a good one. See the Saturn websight for all other info. Oh, what is that gosh awful "smell" inside of it? I was real impressed with the quality of the Saturn's we looked at, including the Ion.

I'm editing this to say the suv we bought did not come with the 17" tires/rims. We took the 16" instead and changed suv to get the side surtain airbags. Most everything else is the same.

Next step is to get the tow plates installed and a hitch on the back for the bicycles, if my Dr says ok on the 27th. DW brought the tow bar over and its installed. We will need new safety cables as these have worn at the thimble and we have some sharp wires sticking out. Everything is going together just fine. Hope to get a few days of "no chores" to do soon. The list is down to 12 items.
One more Dr visit Monday and DW should be done. Then its RV fix and my Dr. We are tired of running and gunning.

Temp: 94 with pc skies, rain in forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
